Eibau

Since 1810, beer specialities have been brewed in Eibau, a municipality of Upper Lusatia. Eibau is also called "capital of dark beer", because the so-called "Eibauer Schwarzbier" (Eibau dark beer) has been produced here for 200 years. 

We brew dark beer! But be can also brew other types of beer! That’s the slogan of Eibau brewery, because apart from "Schwarzbier" (dark beer) also other beer specialities, namely "Pilsner" (Pilsner beer), "Helles Landbier" (light country beer), "Lausitzer Dunkel" (Lusatian dark beer), "Eibauer heller Bock" (Eibau light bock beer), "Eibauer Dunkler Bock" (Eibau dark bock beer) and "Eibauer Radler" (Eibau shandy) are produced in this private brewery.

Klaus Naedler has been managing partner since the beginning of 2008.

In the past two years investments were made not only in brands, but also in modern and more efficient techniques. Quality is the formula for our success! For 200 years, we have been working according to this formula. The annual awards of DLG (German association for agriculture and nutrition) prove this basic principle. In 2010 Privatbrauerei Eibau received the DLG award in Gold for its "Eibauer Schwarzbier" (Eibau dark beer) again.
