The traditional enterprise of the managing partners Heinrich and Johannes Becker is a clear market leader in the gastronomy trade and supplies 5000 gastronomical products alone in the county of Cologne.

As regional brand, Gaffel Kölsch ranges 7th nationwide in draught beer production. The private brewery sells almost 500,000 hectoliters annually from Cologne Eigelstein. With a draught beer proportion of currently 75%, the market share in gastronomy is at an excellent 25%. The remaining production (25%) is sold retail.

One reason for this success is the joy of innovation. The enterprise was the first Cologne brewery to introduce single cases. Gaff is the only manufacturer in the Cologne market that produces alcohol-reduced and non-alcoholic Kölsch. Using the unique Gaffel cellar keg system, gastronomy businesses can be supplied directly by the Gaffel tanker. The first longneck bottle in the Cologne market also came from the Gaffel brewery. With the advertising campaign "The Gaffels", the private brewery has set new standards in advertising. It is the first time that an advertising family has advertised beer.

Gaffel Kölsch supports Bayer Leverkusen, the 1. FC Cologne and Fortuna Cologne as sponsors.

Furthermore, Gaffel remains the main sponsor of the monthly Cologne Media Meeting, one of the top events in the cathedral city that is attended by prominent personalities and decision makers from economics, politics and the media.
