The Ochsenfurter Kauzen-Bräu, privately-owned since 1809, is one of the most modern, mid-sized Bavarian breweries. 100,000 hectoliters of beverages are produced annually. 65% of this is KAUZEN BEER and 35% belong to the LIBELLA brand drinks.

2007 , marked the first time that Ochsenfurter Kauzen-Bräu was awarded "Best Prize" in gold by the Deutsche Landwirtschafts-Gesellschaft (German Agricultural Association). Only 44 breweries out of a total of approximately 1,291 from all of Germany have received this performance award.

Ochsenfurter Kauzen-Bräu has been a member of the Deutsche Brau-Kooperation since August 1972 and has been a member of formation of the Bayerischen Brauerbundes.
