Brauerei Max Leibinger



1894 - In Berlin the Reichstag Building opens its doors for the first time, the Tower Bridge in London is completed, and Rudyard Kipling's Jungle Book is published. In the same year, Max Leibinger I, who just turned 30 and is the son of a brewing family from Ulm, buys the Benedictine Brewery in Ravensburg.  This is the start of a successful family history.

Since that, the brewery is both traditional but also innovative and technical modern. Only high quality beers are brewed, with water of the brewery's own spring, yeast from Leibinger's own yeast breeding and further regional resources. 

The region is also reflected in the naming of the products, as for example the "Bodensee" (Lake of Constance) in the following Leibinger products: "Seeweisse", "Seeradler" and "Seegold".
Also the "Zeppelin Bier" shows a historical relation to the region.


In the meantime, the product range extends to 17 own brewed specialities, whether bright or dark or alcohol-free like the "Fassbrausen", with delights for everyone. 
Speaking of delights, Leibinger's "Bräustüble", the brewery's own traditional restaurant, is located directly on their production site in Ravensburg and offers excellent hearty Swabian cuisine.
