Building on the over 380 year old brewing tradition the Lämmsbräu brewery in Neumarkt has translated sustainability into the greatest drinking pleasure for the last three decades. The Neumarkt based Lämmsbräu was the first brewery to convert its entire range to 100% organic. Today Lämmsbräu is the epitome of fine organic beers and bio-refreshment beverages.
For Lämmsbräu beers the ecological purity law begins right in the fields. The producers' association is cultivating the best ecological brewing ingredients in the region. Around Neumarkt in the Upper Palatinate region 4,000 ha of land is farmed organically. All the natural cone hops, the malt from their own malt house and the brewers' manual work driven by their passion for brewing is what creates a unique variety of around 20 beers (including 6 soft and 2 gluten-free).
About 100 employees produce well over 160,000 hl of beer, a wide range of bio-lemonades and bio-certified mineral water in the world's leading bio-brewery.
Dr. Franz Ehrnsperger, the owner of the brewery, set the course for an integrated, consequently sustainable and unique corporate concept more than 30 years ago, which even today is unparalleled and has been honoured with several awards. In addition to the exclusive processing of quality organic raw materials Lämmsbräu shows its commitment in numerous projects for structures having long-term positive effects on nature, environment and the society. The Neumarkt based pioneers in organic farming have devoted themselves particularly to the protection of the water and biodiversity. Fair long-term relationships with suppliers also ensure the income of raw material producers and promote organic farming.
This sense of responsibility guarantees all Lämmsbräu drinkers that with each mouthful they make a contribution to increasing sustainability.
